Recertification and Renewals
ISO certificates are valid for 3 years. Recertification requires the organizations to undergo an audit like initial audit without the need for stage 1 audit. However, it may include stage 1 audit in case there are significant changes to the existing management system. Recertification audit is done to ascertain whether the management system implemented by organization complies with the standards requirements. Recertification audit aims to review the whole of your processes and systems from beginning to end. This review includes looking at patterns of non-performance and customer satisfaction, documentation and management reviews. Part of recertification audit is to ensure that all the changes that have happened in the three-year period, have been assessed and documented by the management system. Necessary trainings have been conducted. Recertification audit also makes sure that organizations make the necessary changes to their management system when ISO standards are updated.
