Surveillance Audit
Surveillance Audit is a periodic audit done by certifying body. Its objective is to ensure that organization still meets ISO standard requirements. surveillance audit is done after year one and year 2 of certification. During surveillance audit, external auditor aims to review key processes of the QMS system rather than everything. It does not mean that surveillance audit is less important, organization still need to ensure that all processes comply with ISO standard requirement, Internal audits are performed for all the processes and corrective actions are taken. During surveillance audit, auditor also check any non-conformities from certification audit and the corrective actions taken for them. Surveillance audits ensures that the organization stay on track and help organizations prepare for recertification which is planned at the end of each three-year cycle.
